Asma Syed, MD

After completing her medical degree, Dr. Syed embarked on her journey at Rush Westlake Hospital in Chicago. After completed her preliminary training in Internal Medicine Dr. Syed pursued her interest in Physical Medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center / Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. From there she completed a four year Specialty in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and graduated with distinction as Chief Resident.

Each patient is different, that's why I take the time to design and manage a unique treatment plan based on their specific condition and needs. I develop close bonds with many of my patients and the greatest satisfaction for me is being a part of their recovery.

Dr. Syed began her career working for Cleveland Clinic in the Department of PM&R and Spine Center. While working at the world-renowned Clinic, Dr. Syed was very active in her research on TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). She lectured the Neurology residents, held numerous presentations and seminars on various subjects, and even co-published an article in the American Academy of PM&R.

    With a keen interest in Geriatrics, Dr. Syed moved to Florida where she continues her passion in not only treating her Patients, but also to provide alternatives to surgery. She holds Directorship and Membership positions on various organizations and gives regular presentations to the Post-Polio Support Groups, Amputee and CVA Support Groups, MS Support Groups, including the Rotary Club and more.

Dr. Syed is Board Certified in PM&R. She is also a fellow member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Florida Medical Association.
